Why SBiND

From promising models to meaningful biomarkers

Speech is a non-invasive, scalable, and information-rich signal useful for assessing and longitudinally monitoring neurodegenerative diseases.

SBiND brings together researchers and practitioners from speech and audio processing, artificial intelligence, neurology, clinical neuroscience, biomedical engineering, and digital health. The workshop moves beyond disease detection as an isolated classification task to address the full translational pathway: robustness, interpretability, longitudinal modelling, privacy, reproducibility, and prospective clinical validation.
